When something is going to ship on a next flight out basis, it means exactly that. Your courier will look at all the available flights that are leaving from your local airports. They will then select a flight (or combination of connecting flights) that will result in your delivery being made in the least amount of time possible.

The only potential downside to shipping anything on an NFO basis is the cost which it entails. Anytime you're shipping something by air instead of by ground, the costs go up quite a bit. However, there are many business situations where the necessity for speed is far more important than saving the money that would be gained by ground shipping.
